Minutes of the last meeting:

There were three minor alterations concerning dates and spelling which were accepted and passed.

Matters arising:

The updated situation on the cleaning of the Tirlebrook is that Cllr Smith will be calling a meeting with the affected residents in the very near future as work was pencilled in to start in the middle of November. The meeting will be called as soon as the date was definite.

NACRA had written a letter to the Cotteswold Dairy spelling out the concerns of residents about the noise pollution coming from their plant, the company had replied apologising and saying they would investigate the situation.

The committee advised the residents to log incidents and then we would correspond with the company in a much stronger manner.

Sherry Piper the community police officer said they were still investigating the noise concerns coming from gatherings of youth at P J Nichols. 

 

NACRA would contact the County Councillor about replacing the rotten barriers at the east end of the cycle path.                                        Action: DW.

Election of Officers:

Chairman- Graham Dawson proposed DW sec PA.

Secretary: Dave Witts proposed JF sec PA (6 months)

Treasurer: John Smith volunteered.

 

Graham Dawson took the chair.

 

Any other business:

 

Dave Witts proposed that NACRA take a more active support for the Tewkesbury Nature Reserve and write a letter of support. Accepted           Action: DW.

 

Dave Witts proposed that NACRA take a more active support for the Derek Graham Play Park and write a letter of support. Accepted   Action: DW.

 

Pete Aldridge raised the concern about the new traffic light installed on the motorway roundabout we all agreed to monitor the situation and then write to the Highways Agency

 

Paul Heard TBC would be contacted about the use of a pollution Monitor.       Action: GD.

 

Graham Dawson said the ditch and culvert on the south side of the Ashchurch Rd was blocked we will contact the County Councillor.                       Action: DW.

 

Graham Dawson said there were complaint about the dog mess on the Tirlebrook School grass area and we should feature it in the next Newsletter. Accepted.

 

The new part of the cycle track had no dog litterbins we will write the Town Council. Action: DW.

 

Craig Guthrie proposed Jill Cooper as a member of the committee.
